SHE-Hive Association and the Senate of the Government of Lesotho, in commemoration of International widows’ day, will hold a press briefing tomorrow 13th July 2023, which will be held at the Old Parliament Building, In Maseru. International Widows Day, which is commemorated on the 23 June each year and celebrated in solidarity with the International Community and the Civil Society Movement – which works for the advancement of women’s rights and the protection of widowed women against property dispossession and violence in all its forms.

 She-Hive Association and the Office of the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Lesotho will hold a consultative forum intended to address the imparting of knowledge and the enforcement of laws that protect Widowed women.

The consultative Session will bring together a panel of representatives from the Members of the Senate together with Institutions that provide services to widows. The panel will comprise of representatives from the Office of the Master of the High Court, the Land Administration Authority and the Maseru District Administrator.

 This particular event will take place at Old Parliament Chambers and will officially be opened by the President of the Senate Hon ‘Mamonaheng Mokitimi.
