The National AIDS Commission is launching the State of National HIV & AIDS at NAC Offices today. This is an initiative that aims to highlight the current trends and strategic direction as per the newly developed National HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan (NHASP 2023/24-2027/28); aligned to His Majesty’s key messages.
In celebration of the 60th King’s birthday, the National AIDS Commission is reminded of His Majesty’s effort, contribution and commitment to effective National HIV Response. Over the years, His Majesty has aligned himself to the issues, developments and thematic cores related to HIV. He has shown care for his nation by emphasizing the significance of putting more effort towards the HIV Response including to curb new HIV infections. In his many speeches he has highlighted the significance of multisectoral involvement in the response. To this effect he has highlighted the need for male engagement, multisector including faith sector contribution, effort towards ending inequalities; a clarion call for ALL to actively contribute towards ENDING AIDS by 2030. To this effect the National AIDS Commission plans to celebrate with the King by highlighting some of the KEY MESSAGES that King Letsie III has made over the years. The National AIDS Commission joins Basotho in celebrating His Majesty King Letsie III and wish him good health as well as the best in leading the nation.
