On Sunday 30th July 2023 the Maseru City Run will launch the 2024 marathon. The Maseru City Run aimed at improving the lives of Basotho through healthy living, team building and supporting the growth of different businesses.
In a statement by Thabo T. J. Tsoeute the Race Manager, the marathon is a yearly event that was first launched on 26th February 2023. The second annual fun run and marathon will be on Sunday the 25th February 2024 in Maseru. The distances will be 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 5km. The categories are for elites, fun runners, masters, grandmasters and those living with disabilities. Sponsors will also be announced on the day.
