Last week Thursday First National Bank (FNB) Lesotho hosted Africa Day concert at Maseru club grounds with the aim of elevating small businesses by giving them a platform to showcase their different products and services. The free entry event therefore was giving SMMEs who produce locally exposure they need to be known and grow.
The event was also graced by the Minister of trade, industry, business development and tourism Hon. Mokhethi Shelile who indicated the need and importance of the initiative in motivating entrepreneurs while also adding a boosts to the country’s economy. Performing artists including the likes of Ntate Stunna, Botala ba Linare, Omali Themba entertained Basotho in attendance who showed up in large numbers. The invited businesses included food and beverage producers, arts and crafts (jewellery), clothing and apparel, agriculture producers, beauty and wellness, and service providers amongst others. Informative Newspaper set out to chat to the business owners and find out what it is their businesses offer.
