The much anticipated 2022 LGCSE results have been published. They also marked the end of the Form E as it has been abolished. The 2022 pass rate has however declined sitting at 47 %, a far cry from that of 2021 which was 54%. The number of those who sat for the examination had increased as Grade 11 and Form E students wrote concurrently.
Thabo Ratia of Leribe English Medium High School outshone his counterparts scoring seven A*, becoming the top 1 student. He is followed by Paballo Lefeela and Jermina Karabo Sebolaoa who earned six A* and the duo are students of Maputsoe Community High School and Botha-Bothe High School respectively .
The top 3, are Mpati Letséla and Reatile Mahloane both from Lesotho High School, Ishamael Bokang Masenyetse from Hope High School, Kamohelo Mohoase from St. Stephen’s Diocesan High School, Thuto Precious Mphoso of Lesotho High School, Monwabisi Qeki of St. Stephen’s Diocesan High School, Zaid Mohammad Topia from Lesotho High School, Veronica Relebohile Tjokosela from St. Stephen’s Diocesan High School, Leqele Tsósane from Molapo High School.
Out of 27 474 students just over 800 did not sit for the examination. The well-performed subjects are Sesotho, coming second is English, Physical Science and Mathematics respectively.
