In a world where celebrations mark life’s sweetest moments, one bakery is weaving magic with sugar and flour. From the soft, velvety sponge to the swirls of cream that dance atop every cupcake, each creation tells a story of joy, love, and celebration.

These confections don’t just satisfy cravings, but they create memories.
Nyakallang  Lehohla, the visionary behind Rejoice Sweet Treats, embarked on her journey into the world of bakery confections in September 2023. Her passion for baking was ignited after attending a training session hosted by Divas School of Baking from Bloemfontein, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her life. “As an unemployed graduate, I grabbed the opportunity and never looked back. Since then, it has been a journey of growth, filled with highs and lows. We’ve learned to embrace the highs and work through the lows.”

She added “At Rejoice Sweet Treats, we strive to be as creative as possible, coming up with our own unique designs.”
At Rejoice Sweet Treats, they specialize in wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, birthday cakes, and any other celebration that needs a “touch of sweetness”.

Since the establishment of her business, this cake artistry reported that support has been strong since the establishment of her business. “We get orders every week from different districts across the country, and we are truly grateful for the support we receive from Basotho.”

However, the journey has not been smooth sailing as she has encountered some challenges along the way. Lehohla said lack of funding is one of her major challenges. As the upcoming business, she notes that they currently operate on a small-scale due lack of financial support. She has called on the government to reduce some of the red tape required to access funding as this would help them expand and contribute to reducing unemployment in the country.

Lehohla is dedicated to perfecting her craft, constantly practicing by watching tutorials online and researching what has worked for other bakers. With a keen eye for detail, she applies strategies that resonate with Rejoice Sweet Treats, always striving for excellence.

One of her proudest moments was when she created the Krispy King cake last year. She said it was more than just a masterpiece; it was proof of her capability and a testament to the heights she could reach. That achievement fueled her ambition, reinforcing her belief that even greater successes lie ahead.

Looking to the future, she envisions Rejoice Sweet Treats expanding its reach. Her five-year plan includes opening a baking school to nurture budding talent and establishing at least one cake shop in Mafeteng and Maseru.
With determination and passion guiding her every step, she is committed to crafting memories one cake at a time, leaving a sweet legacy in her wake.
