The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) announces the appointment of Mr. Seboka Moloinyana as its First Deputy President in Quthing, a move that has been met with mixed reactions within the football network.

Moloinyana, member of the LeFA executive committee and a prominent figure in Quthing district football, is widely regarded as a dedicated and hard-working individual. His appointment recognises his significant contributions to the development of football within the association.

He consistently demonstrated his commitment to the growth of football in Lesotho. His experience and leadership qualities will be invaluable assets to the LeFA executive.

The announcement highlights the collaborative nature of LeFA’s leadership, emphasising that Moloinyana will be working closely with the existing committee members to achieve common goals.

However, the appointment has also raised concerns regarding the current composition of the LeFA executive committee. According to the 2018 LeFA Act, the committee is mandated to consist of eight members. However, with the addition of Moloinyana to the existing nine members, the committee now exceeds the stipulated limit.

This discrepancy has prompted questions about the legality of the current committee structure and whether the appointment of Moloinyana complies with the provisions of the 2018 Act.

Some argue that the excess member could potentially lead to inefficiencies and difficulties in decision-making processes, while others suggest that the appointment may require amendments to the existing legislation.

Despite these concerns, LeFA remains optimistic about the future, highlighting the importance of unity and collaboration within the football community.

The appointment of Seboka Moloinyana as First Deputy President of LeFA Quthing marks a significant development in the association’s leadership. However, the issue of the committee’s size remains a point of contention and will require careful consideration and potential resolution to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the organisation.
