Bantu FC has issued a statement condemning a recent incident where a supporter sustained injuries during a chaotic situation at the gate of their match against Lioli Football Club.
The club expresses deep regret over the incident, emphasising that violence has no place in the sport. In their statement, the club stated: “The management of the club has been made aware of an unfortunate incident involving a supporter who sustained injuries during a chaotic situation at the gate during our match against Lioli Football Club. We want to highlight that the club stands firmly against any form of assault. As such, we are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the incident, and those responsible will be held accountable.”
The club restated its commitment to the safety and well-being of all supporters.
The safety of all supporters who attend matches is of utmost importance. Consequently, the club will implement additional measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
However, Lesotho football needs the improved crowd control measures, including increased security personnel and better crowd management strategies. Enhanced gate entry procedures to prevent overcrowding and ensure smoother entry. Collaboration with local authorities to ensure a safe and secure match-day environment.
