-The Lesotho Volleyball Association (LVA) league tournament has concluded, and the final standings in both the A and B divisions are now set. In a thrilling season of intense competition, the Redskins and LOC emerged as the champions in the A division, while the Titans reigned supreme in the B division, earning a well-deserved promotion to the top tier for the 2025 season.
A Division:
* Champions: Redskins & LOC
In men LP VI
* Relegated: Abia Tigers & Platoon
The A division witnessed a fierce battle for supremacy, with the Redskins and LOC ultimately claiming the coveted championship title. However, the season was not without its share of challenges. Abia Tigers and Platoon faced a disappointing end to their campaign, unfortunately being relegated for the upcoming season.
B Division: Champions and promoted: Titans
The Titans dominated the B division throughout the season, showcasing exceptional skills and a strong team spirit. Their consistent performances earned them a well-deserved promotion to the A division for 2025 league tournament as for women category, since Sweet 16 an Mahlaseli have equal points, the decisive match will determine the champion as a promotion, where they will undoubtedly face a new set of challenges.
The battle for the remaining A division spot will be decided in a thrilling playoff. The winner of this crucial match will earn the right to compete in the top tier of Lesotho volleyball next season.
Women’s Division:
* Playoff for Championship & Promotion: Sweet16 vs Mahlaseli
* Playoff for A Division: Loser of Sweet16 vs Mahlaseli vs Mafeteng VC
The women’s division saw a thrilling season with Sweet16 and Mahlaseli finishing with an equal number of points. To determine the champion and the team that will be directly promoted to the top tier, a decisive playoff match will be held between these two formidable teams.
The team that emerges victorious from this playoff will be crowned the champion and gain automatic promotion to the A division. Meanwhile, the losing team will face Mafeteng VC in another playoff match, with the winner of that encounter securing the final spot in the A division for the upcoming season.
Playoff Dates to be Announced. The dates for the upcoming playoffs will be announced shortly by the LVA. These crucial matches will determine the final A division teams for the 2025 season and crown the champions of both the men’s and women’s divisions.
