It is said that we spend years sounding like everyone till we find our own voices, that originality is only a byproduct of being authentic. The writer believes that authenticity is an individual’s greatest strength and it is the only path that will grant one their biggest breakthrough in life because one would be living in alignment with their inner truth.

I would first like to admit I’m not claiming that my truth is universal, I believe the truth is better felt through experience than conformed to. Give authenticity a chance first before you reach a conclusion that an authentic path is impractical or doesn’t bring material successes.

Living a life that is in alignment with your truth is what your soul or essence actually desires. This is why when you engage in an activity that fuels you up with passion and gives you that zest for life; you feel it at the core because that is your soul’s true reality. It makes you feel alive and you feel that you’re not just existing. Your true vocation lies where your soul’s passion meets the world’s need.

And if I were to formulate a philosophy over this, I’d quote “It is a responsibility of every individual to express their soul’s truth or passion to the world, community or loved ones”. How one chooses to express themselves differs from individual to individual. One may be expressing themselves as a chef, lawyer, teacher, public speaker or rapper in society; the deal breaker here is to express yourself in a way that is in alignment with your inner self.

When one expresses their soul’s passion, it is easy to become open minded when faced with chaos. Periods of chaos are viewed as challenges that can be dealt with, not as barriers one is stuck in with little or no faith of overcoming. It’s easier to be innovative on a path that is aligned with your truth/essence/element.

However, an authentic path does not mean an easy one but it becomes effortless overtime and there’s always going to be new ways showing for growth because that is the rightful path to fulfilling your soul’s purpose. And by fulfilling your purpose, you give God his glory. In the end, death faces us with one inevitable question, “What is your legacy?” Did you live the life that made you happy? Did you make others happy? Your true vocation lies where your soul’s passion meets the world’s needs.
