Maseru- As plans come together for the eagerly anticipated Spring Jumpoff event, Manthabiseng Convection Centre, Maseru Club, Headlines and the other venue to be confirmed are set to host an unforgettable celebration of Spring Jumpoff.
Organizers are gearing up to showcase a diverse array of acts, promising an exciting blend of music, dance and cultural displays. With the event still in its planning stages, the community is buzzing with excitement and expectations for this lively Spring Jumpoff celebration.
DJ Mahoota,one of the key figures behind the event, recently shares his excitement and reflections on the journey so far.
“It’s hard to believe that we started the Spring Jumpoff here in Lesotho just three years ago,” DJ Mahoota says, with a smile that reflected both pride and amazement.” This is our third year, and it is incredible to see how much the event has grown.
The Spring Jumpoff has quickly established itself as a staple in the region‘s entertainment calendar, drawing in crowds with its vibrant mix of music, culture, and celebration. DJ Mahoota reminisced about the event’s humble beginnings, noting the steady increase in attendance that signals its growing popularity.
“In our first year, we were thrilled to see 7000 people come out to enjoy the festivities,” he recalled. “It was a strong start and showed us that there was a real appetite for this kind of event in Lesotho.”
Building on this initial success, the second year saw even greater enthusiasm, with attendance numbers rising to around 8000.”Including our VIP and VVIPs, the turnout was phenomenal,’’ DJ Mahoota continues. He says that it is clear that spring jumpoff is becoming a beloved tradition, and they are grateful for the support they have received.
As the event approaches its third installment, expectations are higher than ever. DJ Mahoota and the team are committed to deliver an unforgettable experience, promising a lineup that blends top tier music performances with cultural showcases. The event aims to celebrate vibrancy of spring, bringing people together in a lively and joyous atmosphere.
“This year, we’re looking to exceed expectations once again,” DJ Mahoota adds. He says the growth has been smooth and organic, and they are constantly learning and improving to make each year better than last. The energy, the music, the people-everything about the Spring Jumpoff is about celebration and community.
DJ Mahoota confirms that the main event will be held at Manthabiseng Convection Centre on the 7th September, where they will be opening the gates at 11 O’clock in the morning and will keep the energy going until late into the night. DJ Mahoota announces enthusiastically that this is where the heart of the Spring Jumpoff will beat the loudest, with a fantastic lineup of performances and experiences waiting for everyone.
Attendees can look forward to a day filled with electrifying music, dance, and a vibrant atmosphere, all set against the backdrop of Lesotho‘s beautiful spring season. The Manthabiseng Convection Centre will transform into a hub of celebration, welcoming thousands of revelers ready to enjoy the beats and vibes.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, DJ Mahoota also highlighted additional events that make the Spring Jumpoff weekend even more special. “On Sunday, we’re taking things to Maseru Club for a deep house session,” he says.” It’s the perfect way to wind down the weekend with some smooth, soulful tunes in a relaxed setting.”
In a show of hospitality, the spring Jumpoff will also feature a special welcome party. On the 6th, they are hosting a welcome party at Headlines to welcome their visitors from different countries. He outlines that it is their way of saying thank you for joining us and making the journey to be part of this celebration.
And the entertainment does not end there. DJ Mahoota also announces a midweek event to keep the momentum going. “On Wednesday, we’ll have comedy which is sure to bring lots of laughter and good vibes.”
DJ Mahoota concludes by saying that he can’t wait to see everyone there and celebrate the beauty of spring together.
As the Spring Jumpoff approaches, Mankone Mafa, one of the key event organizers provides important information regarding ticket sales and logistics to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees.
“We are thrilled to announce that tickets for the main event are now available,” Mankone Mafa begins. “For those who want to secure their spot early, we’re offering early bird tickets at just M100. This is a great opportunity to save and ensure you don’t miss out on this fantastic event.”
The early bird offer is followed by presale tickets, which are available until 6th September. Presale tickets will be priced at M120, providing another chance for attendees to get their tickets at a discounted rate before the event day,” she explains. On the day of the event, tickets at the gate will be M150.
For those looking for a more exclusive experience, VIP tickets are also available. The VIP tickets are priced at M400 and offer a premium experience with added benefits, ensuring a memorable day at the Spring Jumpoff,”
Tickets can be purchased conveniently through various channels. They are making it easy for everyone to get their tickets. They can buy online, or if someone prefers in person purchases, they are available at Pick n Pay in Pioneer Mall and Masianokeng. Additionally, they are accepting payments through mobile platforms like Mpesa and Ecocash to accommodate everyone’s preferred payment method.
To streamline entry and enhance security, Mankone mafa emphasizes that all tickets will be scanned at the gate. This is to ensure a smooth and secure entry process for all attendees.
As for event policies, Mankone mentions that only normal cooler boxes will be permitted. She says they’re allowing guests to bring their cooler boxes, but they ask that they be of a standard size to ensure everyone has a comfortable space.
