Maseru In preparation for the upcoming regional tournament, the COSAFA Women’s Championship, the Lesotho Senior Women’s National Team, Mehalalitoe, has commenced a rigorous training camp starting on Monday.

This initiative was confirmed by the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA). The women’s championship is scheduled to take place in October in Gqeberha, South Africa.

Head Coach Shalane Lehohla has named a provisional squad of 26 talented players, all of whom currently play in domestic leagues. These athletes are undergoing intensive training sessions at Bambatha Ts’ita Sports Arena for the first three days of each week, starting from July 29th, as they prepare for their departure to the regional tournament.

The training sessions are focused on enhancing the team’s tactical and physical readiness, ensuring they are well-prepared to compete at an international level. The squad selection reflects a mix of seasoned players and promising young talent, aimed at striking a balance between experience and dynamism.
