Maseru – Following the group stage draw that took place in Johannesburg on Thursday last week, the fixture has been released, and the dates are set for the Likuena qualifying campaign.

Lesotho starts the campaign for the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations with an away match against the Central African Republic, which will be followed by a home match against Morocco, both scheduled to play between September 2 and 10.

The busy qualifying campaign will continue again from October 7–15, when Likuena is slated to face Gabon in back-to-back matches, starting with the away encounter. The Group B fixtures will conclude in November with home and away games against the Central African Republic and Morocco, respectively.

Morocco, as the hosts of the 2025 continental showpiece, has already secured a place in the tournament, while Lesotho, the Central African Republic, and Gabon will have to battle it out for the remaining qualifying spot.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches are organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to decide the participating teams of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the 35th edition of the international men’s football championship of Africa. The qualification began with the preliminary round, which ran from March 21 to March 26, and will conclude with the group stage, which will be played in September, October, and November, all in 2024. A total of 24 teams will qualify to play in the final tournament, including automatically-qualified hosts Morocco.
