In a continued effort to accentuate the festive season, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Honourable T’sepang T’sita Mosena recently donated food parcels to the needy in her area of Tsitsa Lithabaneng, in Maseru.
The recipients of the gifts were residents in the region who had voluntarily taken it upon themselves to fix a dilapidated road in the area. Among them were unemployed youths who displayed an unwavering love for their village through their efforts although they didn’t work.
With the country currently being confronted with the scourge of poor roads which could raise hazards to pedestrians and drivers alike, these efforts proved beneficial to frequent users hence the Deputy Speaker Honourable Mosena’s lauding of the gesture.
“We are grateful to have young men and women who are pioneers and chose to lead by example in what they would like to see happen”, she said.
Donated gifts included 12.5kg bread flour, 12.5 Maize Meal, 1kg sugar, soup packets, salt, and 1-liter cooking oil.
Speaking on behalf of the receiving youth Boitumelo Nt’solo thanked the Deputy Speaker saying that they as youth were grateful to have someone who always remembered them, especially during the festive season
Tsitsa Village Chief Vincent Kele thanked the youth saying they loved and cared for their village.
