Soul Healing for a modern-day woman is a Serenity Gardens flagship event whose objective is to offer a platform for healing from the inside to the outside. It acknowledges the reality that life is lived from the inside to the outside. It acknowledges that we are shaped by the experiences we go through. And every negative experience has a way of defiling the purity of our hearts and without realizing we become the very thing we despise.
It acknowledges that the health of a soul or heart or spirit determines the beauty or the ugliness of our lives. Soiled defiled wells or springs can only offer soiled waters. The platform offers much needed hope and healing to many women who live under so much pain and hurt. We believe that a healed soul or heart or spirit can become a fountain of pure waters where family, friends, all loved one, colleagues and the community can drink.
There are many situations and circumstances that we most times had no control over, and these situations have wounded us beyond repair. Beyond repair because they have become our reference point in everything we do and who we are. Sometimes very visibly but other times in more subtle ways and we are just unable to move forward.
How do we therefore become functional in our many roles that we have, as mothers, wives, sisters, mothers-in-law, leaders, teachers, politicians, pastors, doctors etc. When only we can offer is a wounded soul, when only what we can offer is soiled waters. Who will drink from your well if it remains defiled. How can you become a super mom, businesswoman, leader, preacher when you carry with you a wound that is not healing but is continually bleeding. You can only bleed on others and infect or poison them; this is a reality of a wounded and perpetually wounded and unhealed heart. From a wounded place you cannot live a beautiful fruitful life.
This is a platform to acknowledge our wounds pains, hurts, and disappointments. It is also a platform to seek and receive healing in our deepest of hearts and souls where only God can touch. This is a platform to seek healing for a more fruitful and beautiful life lived from the inside out.
To be beautiful is to be healing daily and becoming a fountain of pure waters daily where our loved ones and those in our spheres of influence can drink from and where they can see the light from. But this healing is a futile exercise outside of God. True inner healing comes from God. This is a platform to allow the true healing from Jesus to flow to the very core of who we are.
He is interested in our well-being not only today but, in our influence for the generations to come. Jesus says the Spirit of the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor, he has sent me to heal the broken hearted (Isaiah 61:1 – 3). Jesus is still in the business of healing and restoring souls.
