The first of its kind… Taking parliament to the people!
The Parliament of Lesotho in collaboration with EU today launched “Taking Parliament to the People”.
The live event was held at Manthabiseng Convention Centre from 0900hrs-1300hrs where various CSOs interacted with MPs on pertinent national issues, especially in line with gender equality.
Ambassadors included UNICEF Lesotho Representative Deepak Bhaskaran, British High Commissioner Harry Macdonald, US Ambassador Mary Brewer, China Ambassador Lei Kezhong, EU Head of Delegation to Lesotho Paula Amadei and South Africa High Commissioner Constance Seopesengwe.
The public participated via zoom, watched on Facebook pages Parliament, LNBS and EU. The event was also live on LTV and Radio Lesotho.
