The Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) of the US government Department of State has released its 2016 report on Transportation, Road Safety and Road Conditions for all visitors to Lesotho intending to drive around in the Mountain Kingdom. Below are the excerpts:
All major roads are tarred and in good condition. Road conditions are better in Maseru, as most roads are paved. Most secondary roads are either graveled or hard-packed earth. Some residential roads in Maseru and roads leading to rural Lesotho districts are in poor condition with potholes, rutting, and collapsing shoulders.
