Private sector growth efforts intensify

Maseru- Economic Diversification and a need to pave an attractive investment climate for Lesotho are two of the most compelling factors which were discussed during the launch of the Economic Diversification Support Project (EDSP) on the 20thof April 2017.

The official launch of the support project officially on the 27th March 2017 was a joint venture with additional funding from the World Bank recently to the second Private Sector Competitiveness and Economic Diversification Project (PSCEDP) for its satisfactory performance on the first tranche.

Lesotho takes part at Japan-Africa Business Forum

Maseru- As facilitators of industrial development, the Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) says it is important for the private sector to participate in the upcoming Second Japan-Africa Business Forum, to be held on July 25 to 28 2017 in Japan, as it will expose them to possible investors.

LNDC Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Promotion Manager, Marina Bizabani, indicated that by this forum, the Japanese have shown an interest in investing in African businesses and that it was up to the local businesses to take up the opportunity.
