LCD is alive and well - Metsing

3. LCD leader Mothetjoa MetsingMASERU-Leader of the Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) Mothetjoa Metsing has assured all and sundry that LCD was still “alive and well” and would very much be part of the June 3 general elections.

Metsing made these remarks during his address to supporters at a rally at Qeme on Sunday. Metsing said the LCD chose to host the rally at Qeme because of the unusual killings that have occurred in the area over the past few months.

Metsing, who is also deputy Prime Minister said the killings needed a special attention from various stakeholders, including government.

Selibe wants to be next PM

2. MEC leader Selibe Mochoboroane shakingMASERU-Movement for Economic Change (MEC) leader Selibe Mochoboroane says his rivals should get prepared for his ascension to the country’s highest government office when he becomes the next prime minister after June 3 general elections.

The Thabana-Morena Constituency legislator made this claim at the second MEC rally hosted at Thetsane Constituency in Maseru on Sunday.

“This is the 47th day that MEC was formed, and this is the second rally after the one we had in Mafeteng earlier. Comparing the two rallies, there is a major change in terms of the attendants,” said Mochoboroane.
